In the Month of June 2020

Our Member, Mr. Subrata Mukherjee, visited Amphan affected villages in Sunderban and gifting essentials like foods, groceries & Clothes, stationaries to the children and drinking water to the distressed people. He was accompanied by his friends. We all are proud of his welfare endeavor.

Since due to the destruction caused by the Amphan, the greenery of the city is almost finished. Based on National Mandate on Tree plantation, ‘Kalpavriksha’ initiative took a leap. Taking this initiative ahead, we have agreed to rejuvenate whole stretch of Foreshore Road into URBAN FOREST by planting near 3000 plants initially in collaboration with HMC. A formal inauguration was done on World Environment Day, i.e. 5th June 2020, with the gracious presence Sri Arup Rai, Hon’ble Minister in Charge, Dept of Co-operation, Govt of WB, HMC Commissioner Sri Dhaval Jain, IAS, and Deputy Commissioner Sri Tapas Chatterjee.
