During Lockdown period, as a part of our responsibility,
i) We had collected some funds for this unprecedent cause from our Members. Out of same we had managed to contribute Rs 5 Lakhs to West Bengal Emergency Relief Fund through Credai Bengal Trust and install Two Covid 19 Swab Kiosks uptil date and one more is yet to be installed in due course.
ii) We had also distributed 700 pcs Food Packets to HMC and 300 pcs to Sri Arup Rai, Hon’ble Minister, Dept of Co-operation, Govt of West Bengal to be distributed in Local areas.
iii) We had joined hands with HCP and adapted Shibpur Bazaar. Here with the help of our Members and Volunteers we had distributed Sanitizers, maintain Social Distancing, done miking of do’s and don’ts and distributed Masks, Sanitizers, etc. We had also distributed 400 pcs of Covid Zero T Shirts in Shibpur PS to the warriors of Covid Management Team.
iv) We had also distributed Gloves, PPE Kits, Sanitizers, Face Shield to HMC in order to support them.
We witnessed the disaster happened due to Amphan. A lot of greenery disappeared due to it. People were struggling movement due to water logging and fallen trees. HMC too was finding difficult to clear the trees and restore new normal life due to prevailing Lockdown and limited resources available. As a token of support, we joined hands with HMC and provided JCBs’ and Hydra for clearing fallen trees
