In the Month of November 2019

Zero Waste Community: Garbage is the biggest issue in present. Urban Bodies are dumping same in landfill. We are now facing scarcity of Landfill areas and dumping of Garbage are impacting soil to a greater extent and inviting unnecessary deceases in our environment. Transportation of same is also a big issue and not hygienic. We are believed to be the bulk generator of same both in construction phase as well as post construction House wastes. As per the mandate of National and our commitments towards Clean and Green city, we had made a Zero Waste Community in association with HMC. As a pilot project, we had inaugurated a SWM plant at Vivek Vihar, being the largest generator of waste, with the help of Developer, RWA, HMC and Vendor on 14th November 2019. The resident of Vivek Vihar participated pro-actively and a team was formed within the complex as well with the Young Children’s’ of the society. A full day program was planned based on the theme “My Waste My Responsibility“ – Be a part of Solution, not a part of Pollution with Art and Craft, Cultural, Prize Distribution etc. We were graced to have Sri Arup Rai, Hon’ble Minister in Charge, Corporation Dept, Govt of WB with us
